Owens & Minor has established this award to honor the late Earl G. Reubel, whose vision of building a legacy for his family through Kerma Medical Products, Inc.
, showed the true spirit of his entrepreneurial nature.
Owens & Minor will give The Earl G. Reubel Award
annually in three categories:
An outstanding diversity business supplier to the healthcare industry
A hospital, integrated delivery network, or group purchasing organization with demonstrated commitment to and the highest dollar volume of purchases from diversity suppliers
An individual who demonstrates outstanding leadership in community outreach and/or healthcare education that positively impacts community health and wellness
How to Make a Nomination
To make a nomination, select an award category from the menu on the left. Please choose the category that MOST DIRECTLY applies to your nominee. The system will ask you to establish an account once you select the category. Once you establish an account, you may access your nomination anytime until it is submitted for judging.
For all three award categories, consideration will be given to women and minorities who are entrepreneurs, executives, professional services providers, or civic leaders who are actively engaged in serving the healthcare industry and who have positively impacted healthcare delivery and/or community wellness. Nominees must be US citizens.
Nominations must be submitted by 6:00 PM on Friday, July 15, 2016.
Two Finalists will be selected in each award category. Finalists will be notified the week of August 1-5, 2016.
Honorees will be announced at the evening Awards Banquet on September 13, 2016 the opening day of the Healthcare Supplier Diversity Symposium: Disruptive Innovation in Supplier Diversity, hosted by Owens & Minor, in Richmond, VA at the Richmond Hilton Hotel & Spa/Short Pump.
Please be advised that Finalists are expected to be present at the Awards Banquet in order to be named as Honorees. If you plan to attend, register here.
What does the award consist of?
Honorees will be given a custom-designed commemorative award engraved with their name, date of Awards Banquet, and award category.
Additionally, a press release will be issued nationally by Owens & Minor citing the accomplishments of the Honorees; profiles of each Honoree will be featured on the following websites:
Honorees will also be invited to represent Owens & Minor at selected industry events. Each opportunity will be discussed individually to determine Honorees’ availability prior to any commitments being made.
